Why did
you start coloring and does coloring help you with any issues or medical
conditions you deal with?
I started coloring to help relieve stress and deal
with my severe anxiety and depression issues. I have dealt with these for over
20 years and have found coloring a wonderful way to center myself when I am
having a panic attack or even when I need to bring myself some relief from
depression.
What
would you recommend to anyone thinking about beginning the adventure of
coloring?
Start with anything. I bought 1 inexpensive book and
some Crazart pencils and went to town. I still haven't purchased expensive
pencils but am trying new mediums all the time.
Is there
anything else that you would like to share?
I started a group that focuses on art therapy and it's
use in aiding with stress relief, depression, mental illness and physical
ailments. We share all different kinds of art and how they help. I have made a
lot of new friends and am blessed to have found a way to deal with this.
